I wrote a new etude for saxophone based on the chord changes to "My Future" by Billie Eilish

I tend to favor old school singers: Jon Hendricks, Biilie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Johnny Hartman, Grady Tate, and Nat King Cole to name a few. From the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, I love Luther Vandross, Carole King, James Taylor, Al Jarreau, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bill Champlin, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.

It is rare that I like modern singers, but there are a few that I like: Norah Jones and Billie Eilish come to mind immediately. Billie Eilish has a voice that reminds me of the old school singers, and to me, her song "My Future" is a modern masterpiece.

I forgot to mention my favorite singer of all time: Ms. Angela Bofill. Back to Ms. Billie Eilish...

"My Future" has risen to become one of my favorite songs of all time, so I decided to learn its chord changes, and to use those chord changes as the inspiration for a new saxophone etude. You can learn more details about that etude here.

As I write this article, i'm jamming to the fanstastic "Just to Be Loved" by Mr. Bill Champlin. Thank you for visiting!!
