About FOSS

FOSS is an acronym that stands for "Free and Open-Source Software". The freedoms associates with FOSS are four-fold:

  1. The user of FOSS has the right to use the software as they see fit.
  2. The user of FOSS has the right to copy the software as they see fit.
  3. The user of FOSS has the right to study the software's source code as they see fit.
  4. The user of FOSS has the right to modify and re-distribute the software as they see fit (typically under the terms of a FOSS license).
